Building Broker Relationships in Bristol – MGAA Meet the Market Event

Alun Tucker reflects on the ‘Meet the MGA Market event in February;

 

“Last month, Lauren, Rob, Tim and I decamped to the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel for the MGAA’s inaugural ‘Meet the MGA Market’ event. With over 150 brokers scheduled to attend, I was looking forward to the chance to re-engage with some old acquaintances whilst meeting new brokers in the South West.

 

We were keen to attend this event. As well as supporting local brokers, setting out our stall in the exhibition room very much establishes our brand in the MGA space and gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities to new distribution channels we’d like to work within.

 

I was really pleased with how receptive the delegates were to finding out more about the Ensurance proposition. We’re supported by first-class capacity providers and the team has excellent product and underwriting knowledge allowing us to provide a range of bespoke products for the construction industry.

 

It was a valuable experience for the whole team, we had a lot of very interesting conversations that we hope will turn into tangible business opportunities over the coming months, it shows that despite the leaps and bounds we make in innovation and digital trading, face-to-face interaction is still the strongest way to build trust and forge relationships.

 

For us, this event was a great warm-up for BIBA in May, where Ensurance will be exhibiting for the first time. I’m looking forward to getting swept up in the famous BIBA buzz and introducing even more brokers to the Ensurance proposition, we’ll see you there!”
