Ensurance partners with Alzheimer’s Society to support Insurance United Against Dementia campaign

Ensurance announces new charitable partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society – United Against Dementia

We are delighted to be teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Society and joining the Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, sadly someone develops the disease every three minutes but there is currently no cure. The Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today.

The IUAD campaign was created and championed by leaders from across the insurance industry with an aim to raise £10 million to fund research into dementia.

CEO Tim James shared his reasons behind decided to partner with the Society;

“The Insurance United Against Dementia campaign has been a massive success to date, galvanising the industry to work together to raise money to fund vital research to tackle the country’s biggest killer.  It’s a sad fact that almost everyone will be touched by dementia in some way, and my team felt passionately that they wanted to get involved and play their part in supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, and the IUAD campaign. We’re very much looking forward to supporting the Insurance Day of Giving on 7th November and we’ll be excitedly planning more activities to demonstrate our commitment to the cause.”

Alzheimer’s Society Account Manager, Sam Scott highlighted the importance of the partnership, adding:

“I am delighted to be working with Ensurance this year as they unite against dementia and support Alzheimer’s Society as their chosen charity partner. There are currently 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia, and we need to be there to support them. So many people have first-hand experience of dementia and know how devastating the condition can be – that is why we are grateful to companies like Ensurance for committing to raise vital funds directly towards dementia research. Thank you for such a fantastic opportunity to make the world a better place for people affected by dementia.”
